At 26, Linda started to become fascinated with the ways in which white men made money. Though she was still burdened by her own internalized traumas and toxic money beliefs, Linda was compelled by dreams of wealthy ancestors and bejeweled foremothers to watch Youtube videos, read books and unlock the secrets that could help her achieve financial abundance.

After years of research, Linda discovered the power of the stock market–an arena that was only made up of 9.8% Latinx investors at the time. Linda stayed on her academic shit, teaching herself about investing. Finally, still scared and very hesitant, Linda jumped in and began investing $200 a month. Over the next year and a half, Linda would invest $7K.

Hispanic families are among the least prepared for a financial emergency. 27% have less than 1 month of expenses saved and only 21% have set aside enough money to cover more than 6 months of expenses. And in 2015, a pregnant Linda was laid off only a few days before her partner was laid off, too.

Desperate to help make ends meet, Linda was tempted to tap into the money she’d invested while she was employed. But, armed with the knowledge that stocks are one of the single most powerful wealth-building assets a person could have in the U.S., she chose not to. A decision that would pay off in ways Linda couldn’t even imagine.

Over the next seven years, Linda watched her $7,000 turn into half a million dollars. Now a more experienced and more confident investor, Linda was able to foresee the challenges 2020 would bring...and the opportunities. She made bold money moves that allowed her to continue to amass wealth in the face of one of the biggest financial crises of our time.

Linda knew she was on to something, and she was determined to share it with her community, so she launched a business and created her first stock market course for beginners: Wealth Rules Everything Around Me. Linda also collaborated with her daughter to co-author a stock market workbook for children of color, in order to encourage and normalize financial literacy from a young age.

Two books, a podcast and countless courses later, Linda’s passion for empowering Latinas and other BIPOC folks has culminated in In Luz We Trust. Together with a community of Wealth Warriors and a team of money and mindset experts, Linda is on a path to revolutionizing the stock market, amassing wealth beyond her ancestor’s wildest dreams, and helping members of her community do the same.
