Will all the girlies wearing skims buy stock…

I hope so. I am in a world where I hope Kim Kardashian will influence the purchase of stock. WTF.

Here is THE thing that we are not taught about stock. It is the fundamental system of this country. With all due respect to those working in the following sectors, f%ck real estate as a method to building wealth and f*ck the government as a system that controls.

If you understand money, you understand everything else. It is why only 15% are direct shareholders in the market and why 90% are the top 10% of the wealthiest people in this country.

We will never even out the wealth gap between whites and marginalized communities if we don’t understand business and economics. The lack of resources and accessibility is by design. Even the rage towards capitalism in marginalized communities is strategic in design. - If we like it, we will learn it; if we learn it, we will dominate; if we dominate, they won’t.

Instead, we spend most of our time and energy asking for their dollars and seats at their tables. Meanwhile, the entire time, Google is a search engine and AI is infinite intelligence. - but those are the enemy, too, right?

Shein, the fast fashion online store, is going public, meaning you will be able to own a piece of the company in 2024. Skims is also rumored to be going public next year. I discuss what all this means and why it is important on Investies Podcast. You can expect a new episode of Investies every Thursday. You can also expect me to always tell you what I think.

Speaking of telling you what I think…last week on Morning Bread I talked about how President Biden is using corporate price gouging as a weapon for corporate hate (hear me out) and a tool to gain the votes of our marginalized communities. Morning Bread is distributed Monday - Friday on Patreon as part of a $3-a-month membership. But I made that specific piece of content accessible for free.

Here is how the stock market did for the month of November:

  • The S&P 500 increased 7.79%.

  • The Dow increased 8.04%.

  • The Nasdaq increased 8.92%.

Let’s take a look at where we are year to date:

  • The Dow is up 9.38%

  • The S&P 500 is up 20.15%

  • The Nasdaq is up 37.72%

Meanwhile, many of us are hoping for a 3% raise. If you are still ONLY trading in your precious time for money, I hope you soon reconsider using more money to make more money. After all, you are being used by someone else to make more money.

I chose truth this morning.

xo,

Linda
